Congratulations on signing up for a shared web hosting account with us. This page will help you set up your website.
Step 1: Determine Your Needs
Getting started with your web hosting account is not complicated. The first step is to determine what you need to do.
Do you already have a web site or are you starting from scratch?
If you're starting from scratch, go to step 2 below.
If you already have a website you need to transfer or upload your website to Hub Host by following step 3 below.
Step 2: Building Your Website
There are a number of different ways to build a website. You need to choose the one you think is the most appropriate for your website.
A: Install a Website Script
In your control panel (cPanel) you can choose from hundreds of website scripts (software) that you can install. Some examples are:
- WordPress (Blogging)
- Joomla (Website CMS)
- Drupal (Website CMS)
- Zen Cart (E-Commerce)
- OS Commerce (E-Commerce)
- Cube Cart (E-Commerce)
- Noahs Classifieds (Classifieds)
- PerlDesk (Customer Relationship)
- 4Images Gallery (Image Gallery)
- And Many More
To install any of the above or see what others are available log in to your cPanel account and scroll down to the Software/Services section, then click on Fantastico De Luxe or QuickInstall.
B: Use a Website Editor
There are many website editors such as Dream Weaver and Microsoft FrontPage which you can use to design your website. They are often called WYSIWYG editors (What You See Is What You Get) because they allow you to build your website much like you would edit a document in a word processor.
Step 3: Uploading Your Web Site
If you use a website script you will not have to upload your website as it is installed directly on your server.
If you are moving from another host or have your website files ready to upload there are two options. You can use FTP or the online file manager.
To use FTP you will need to install an FTP client such as FileZilla, CuteFTP or FireFTP (a FireFox add-on). Once you have installed an FTP client you can connect using the FTP host, username and password found in you "New Account Information" email.
To use the online file manager log into cPanel, scroll down to the Files section and click on File Manager. This option is a bit cumbersome because you can only upload one file at a time. If you need to upload many files you might want to compress (zip) them into one file, upload the zip file and then use the file manager's unzip function.

Step 5: Get Help
Immediately after you email our support team, you will receive an email confirming we have received your email. If you do not receive this email, we did not receive your support ticket.
Step 6: Manage Your Billing
You will be billed automatically for your web hosting on the appropriate date after your purchase was completed (i. e. if you pay monthly, you will be billed monthly on the day of the month that you signed up). Please ensure that you pay your invoices on time. If your bill is not paid in a timely manner, your service may be interrupted.
You can change your payment method in the Members Area.
